Dawne Bysheim is Administrator of Orthopaedics and General Surgery. In this role, she is responsible for leading operations, growth, and strategic initiatives, along with oversight of the day-to-day operations of Orthopaedic Specialists and Surgical Specialists. She focuses on initiatives and quality improvement and implementing innovative solutions.
Prior to joining UF Health St. Johns in 2022, Mrs. Bysheim was the Director of Orthopaedics for the Florida Medical Clinic in Tampa, where she held oversight of the daily operations for four physician offices, including 10 physicians and an orthopaedic-only Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Prior to that, she was the System Orthopaedic and Neurosciences Service Line Director for St. Vincent’s Healthcare in Jacksonville, Nurse Manager of the Wound Care Center at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, and Director of Medical Surgical and Orthopaedic Units/Interim Oncology at Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee.
A member of the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses, Mrs. Bysheim earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York.
She volunteers at Florida Urgent Rescue and is a foster parent for dogs.
Her husband, Michael, and she have two teenage boys, who she spends weekends at the baseball diamond watching them play.
